Drugdealer – “The News”
I associate Drugdealer, the musical project of Michael Collins, with a smooth yet vaguely sleazy form of 1970s singer-songwriter pop. Yet on “The News,” a new song paired with this year’s Weyes Blood collab “Real Thing” on a forthcoming 7″, Drugdealer dips into more of a ’60s vibe, channeling Beatles-era energy and craftsmanship. Collins worked… The post Drugdealer – “The News” appeared first on Stereogum. View the full article

Bitter Branches – “Basic Karate”
Tim Miller was once the famously intense frontman for Deadguy, the New Jersey hardcore/noise-rock band who broke up when they were just hitting their mid-’90s peak. These days, Miller is once again the famously intense frontman for the reunited Deadguy. Earlier this year, they released Near-Death Travel Services, their first album since the 1995 landmark… The post Bitter Branches – “Basic Karate” appeared first on Stereogum. View the full article

Westside Cowboy – “Can’t See”
We just named Westside Cowboy one of the Best New Artists Of 2025, and they’re gearing up to start 2026 off with a bang. In January — just in time for their European tour dates supporting Geese — the Manchester indie rockers will release their new EP So Much Country ‘Till We Get There, which… The post Westside Cowboy – “Can’t See” appeared first on Stereogum. Robyn Gives “Dopamine” Its Live Debut At First Show In Six Years
Last week, Swedish pop queen Robyn returned with "Dopamine," her first new single in seven years. There's been talk of a new Robyn album, though we don't know anything concrete about that yet. We don't know anything about a tour, either, though god knows that would rule. On Wednesday night, however, Robyn played her first proper live show in six years, and it included her first-ever performance of "Dopamine." addy – “cradle” & “fire, fire”
We get two new songs today from addy, the folksy indie-pop project of Philadelphia-based Ada Paige. Titled “cradle” and “fire, fire,” the two tracks almost bleed together into one, the former’s understated beauty giving way to a bit more oomph in the latter. They’re co-produced by addy and longtime Lucy Dacus collaborators Collin Pastore and… The post addy – “cradle” & “fire, fire” appeared first on Stereogum. View the full article

Hazel English – “Gimme”
Hazel English is Australian, not English. She’s currently based in Oakland, which is also not English. English is her last name and the language that she speaks, but as far as I can tell, it does not describe anything else about her. Back in 2016, Hazel English was a Stereogum Artist To Watch. Last year,… The post Hazel English – “Gimme” appeared first on Stereogum. View the full article

Nick Cave Is Geese-Pilled
The widely celebrated New York rock 'n' rollers in Geese seem to have a healthy love for their forebears, and we know this from the cover choices. The band only just played an all-covers set in New York, taking on artists like the Stooges, the Velvet Underground, Suicide, and Leonard Cohen. Geese's forebears also seem to have a healthy love for this young band. Patti Smith recently wrote of how she "felt optimistic" while hearing "100 Horses." Now, Nick Cave has offered his own enthusiastic endorsement of another Getting Killed track, "Trinidad." The post Nick Cave Is Geese-Pilled appeared first on Stereogum. View the full article

What is your favorite live talk radio show or station?
What is your favorite live talk radio show or station and what makes it stand out to you? Do you have multiple live talk stations available in your listening area, or are your options pretty limited? I feel like talk radio has such a unique and authentic vibe compared to other forms of media - there's something incredibly engaging about tuning in and listening to real conversations, debates and discussions happening in real time. You never quite know what's going to happen next, and that spontaneity is part of the appeal. Different stations have their own flavor and focus, right? Some are heavily centered on news and politics, diving deep into current events and controversial issues with passionate debates. Others are more lighthearted and focus on entertainment, pop culture, celebrity gossip or lifestyle topics that are fun and easy to listen to. Then you've got sports talk stations where fans can call in and argue about their favorite teams for hours. And some stations just cover random, eclectic topics that keep you interested because you never know what they'll talk about next. What really draws you to your favorite station? Is it a specific host whose personality you love and whose opinions you trust or find entertaining?

Have you ever been to a BTS concert ?
To be honest I'm not a fan of BTS and I've never been to one of their concerts. I know they have this massive following and their fans are incredibly passionate which is pretty cool to see. I can respect the talent and dedication they have even though their music isn't really my thing. I've heard their concerts are absolutely insane though with incredible production and the crowds going wild. For people who are into them it must be an amazing experience. What about you? Are you an ARMY or do you have a different music preference like me?

Watch The Trailer For Charli XCX’s A24 Movie The Moment
It's not easy bein' Brat green. Early this year, as Brat Summer was seemingly simmering down at last, Charli XCX announced she was working on a movie for A24 called The Moment, starring herself and based on her own idea. (It's just one of many film-related projects she's been cooking up lately.) Now the teaser trailer is here, and personally, it's getting me excited to see the full thing, which will be out in theaters Jan. 30.
