Twenty One Pilots Fans Are Stealing Their Gear Again
Is stealing shit the new throwing shit, or is this just a case of bad luck? Earlier this year, somebody at a Twenty One Pilots show in Manchester stole one of their drums. Last month, the band sued e-commerce giant Temu for selling bootleg merch with their logo. And last night, somebody apparently snatched a USB drive belonging to Twenty One Pilots during their run of Los Angeles shows, and they’re asking for any and all help in retrieving it. Róisín Murphy Replaced As Istanbul Festival Headliner Over Latest Transphobic Post
Two years after she first came under fire for speaking against hormone replacement therapy for children, Róisín Murphy is, unfortunately, still out here spouting transphobic bullshit. Last week the Irish pop musician posted a graph on social media suggesting that, from 2021 to 2024, there’s been a decline in young adults identifying as transgender and non-binary. One user pointed out: “Yeah people are less likely to be openly trans at times when hate speech at trans people is encouraged by people in power,” to which Murphy imprudently responded: “I think you mean when dissenting voices are heard.” Following those comments, a festival in Istanbul, Turkey has removed Murphy from their lineup. She was supposed to headline tonight. View the full article

Radiohead Discuss Backlash Over Their Responses To Palestine Genocide
Radiohead have faced pretty persistent backlash from pro-Palestinian activists and the Boycott, Divestment, And Sanctions (BDS) movement since they played Tel Aviv in 2017. That backlash has only amplified since Israel began their genocidal campaign on Palestine in October 2023, and the band’s responses in the past two years haven’t done much to help their case: Jonny Greenwood has doubled-down on his collaborations with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa, and when a pro-Palestine heckler interrupted Thom Yorke’s Melbourne show back in May, Yorke responded by storming offstage. Yorke later issued a long-winded statement equating Israel’s “ultra-nationalist administration” with Hamas’ October 7 attacks, and suggesting he was the subject of a “social media witch-hunt.” But now that Radiohead are about to go on tour again, the members have more to say about how Israel’s genocide makes them feel.
