  1. Remember when everything came on CDs? Or when MySpace was the big thing? 😅 This is the nostalgia zone — share something that gives you those good old vibes!
  2. You get to pick ONE superpower — but you have to live with it every day. What do you choose, and how would you use it? (No cheating and saying “all powers,” people 😆)
  3. Life can get wild, so let’s share the good stuff. What made you smile or laugh today? Big or small — we’ll take it.
  4. Got something on your mind that doesn’t really deserve a full post? Drop your random thoughts here — funny, weird, deep, or totally pointless. I’ll kick it off: “Why do we always open the fridge hoping for new snacks that magically appeared?” 🤔😂
  5. Whether it’s your morning coffee, late-night energy drink, or weekend beer… what’s in your cup tonight? ☕🍺 I’m currently sipping on some hot coffee. How about you?
  6. Hey everyone! 👋 Figured we could have a casual weekly check-in thread. How’s your week treating you so far? Any wins, fails, or funny moments? Jump in and let’s see how everyone’s doing!
  7. Every so often, an album comes along that shifts something inside you. For me, Pink Floyd’s The Wall was one of those. What album made you stop and think differently about life, people, or yourself?
  8. Slightly offbeat question — but has anyone ever noticed how certain sounds or songs seem to change the energy of a place? I’ve heard some investigators use frequencies or tones to draw out activity. Has anyone tried this or noticed a connection between music and the paranormal?
  9. Everyone remembers their first live show! Mine was Green Day back in 2004 — total chaos, total fun. Who did you see first, and what do you remember most about it?
  10. With so much focus on production and beats nowadays, do lyrics still play as big a role for you? Personally, I think good lyrics can elevate even a simple melody into something unforgettable. What do you think — are we in a ‘beat over meaning’ era?
  11. Looking to expand my podcast list — I already love Song Exploder and Dissect. What podcasts do you recommend for deep dives into music, artists, or music history?
  12. Some artists just never got the recognition they deserved. I’ve always thought Jeff Buckley and Anna Calvi were way ahead of their time. Who’s an underrated musician or band you think deserved the spotlight?
  13. You know that feeling when a song hits a certain note, lyric, or drop and it just gives you goosebumps? For me, it’s “The Sound of Silence” by Disturbed — that raw emotion just hits differently. What’s your instant-chill song?

  20. Katie Crutchfield has gone on the record numerous times about how Rilo Kiley inspired her to start making music herself; the Waxahatchee musician even has an Execution Of All Things tattoo. Crutchfield went on tour with Jenny Lewis during the Rilo frontperson’s solo tour years ago, but now Rilo Kiley are officially reunited, and Waxahatchee opened for a few shows on that tour too. Last night at the tour closer at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Rilo Kiley brought Crutchfield out onstage to sing The Execution Of All Things highlight “With Arms Outstretched” while she was wearing an Execution Of All Things shirt. 24. Does Bruce Springsteen know he just got covered by one of Gen Z’s preeminent rock singer-songwriters? I’m sure the Boss will get a crash course in Cameron Winter soon if he hasn’t already, but this weekend, Springsteen was busy attending the 2025 Academy Museum Gala. He was honored with the inaugural Legacy Award, recognizing “an artist whose body of work has inspired generations of storytellers and deeply influenced our culture,” and he marked the occasion with a rare performance of “Streets Of Philadelphia.” View the full article
