What’s Your Guilty‑Pleasure Song?
Mine is quite shocking. “Baby Shark.” 😂 My little niece plays it too much that now I know all the “doo doo doo” parts. Every time I hear it, I can help but sing along. But if we talk about the normal jam, “Kukere” is still very relevant till today. No matter where I hear that beat, my body will move no matter what. Some songs are timeless. They don't expire, no matter how old.

Morning Tunes vs. Night Vibes – Which Do You Prefer?
Night vibes all the way for me. That calm feeling when everywhere is quiet and you’re just vibing to your playlist, nothing beats it. In the morning, I feel too distracted or tired. But at night, my mind is very fresh, ideas keep flowing as I listen to my favourite songs.

Rock Fans vs. Afrobeats Fans – Who Owns the Dancefloor?
No cap, Afrobeats has that magic. The groove alone is probably unmatched and it's quite unique on its own. If you play rock, people can still move a little, but once afrobeats like “Unavailable” are played , the atmosphere changes immediately. You see people dancing like they are not going to ever dance again 😅. Rock fans will argue that, but Afrobeats owns the dancefloor right now, even globally sef.

Mental Health Conversations in the Music Industry
Honestly, people underestimate how tough the music industry is. It’s not just about talent, you need strong mental balance too. The pressure, comparison, and online issues can mess with your head. I’ve seen artists who just wanted to disappear for a while. Sometimes you need to choose peace over productivity. Music does not go anywhere, it remains but your mind can be messsed up if you push too hard.

First‑Time Live‑Mic Blunders 😅 – What was your most cringe‑worthy on‑air moment?
This makes me laugh hard anytime I remember. During one radio segment when I was presenting a project in my youth service corps, I thought my mic was off. I leaned over and said, “ Does my voice sound weird?” not knowing the whole thing goes live 😭. The producer just looked at me with pity. Since then, I double-check the mic light before I talk. Once bitten, twice shy.

When the Studio Gear Gave Us Trouble
It has happened to me before. We were recording this awesome track, everything was smooth, then suddenly the mic start buzzing like angry mosquito 😩. Everybody froze. The artist just looks at me like I pressed the wrong button, but I didn't do anything. We check everything for almost one hour before realizing that it was the cable that cut inside. That day taught me a lesson to always have a spare cables and backup gear.

What do you make of musicians claiming their songs were inspired by ghosts?
I’ve heard stories like that. Some artists say they dreamt of lyrics or heard voices giving them tunes. I don’t totally believe it, but I won't say it's a lie either. Music sometimes feels spiritual, like it’s not from this world.

Classic rock vs hard rock, what's better?
I lean more to classic rock. It’s got soul and better storytelling. Songs like “Hotel California” or “Bohemian Rhapsody” are timeless. Hard rock is also good, but sometimes the noise and the shouting is just too much 😂.

How long can you go without music?
I don't even think I can survive a day without music. 😂 Music is in my DNA. Even when I’m not listening directly, I’m humming something. There was a time my phone was spoiled for three days, it's like I was half dead because I couldn't listen to my usual playlist.

Viral Chicago Rap Star BabyChiefDoIt Releases Tough New EP Warning Shot
I just gave that EP a spin, and the guy rap pretty well . “Warning Shot” feels raw, you can tell he’s hungry for success. His voice has that street energy that reminds me of early Lil Durk days.

What's your favorite streaming app?
I’ve tried plenty of them, but Spotify just wins my heart. The playlists are always on point, and I like how it was able to push the right songs like it knows my mood without me talking 😂.

What's the saddest song you have ever listened to?
For me it has to be “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross. That song always touches my soul. I remember when my dad passed, I played it like five times back-to-back, tears were just flowing. It's not even about the lyrics alone, but the way he sang it, you can feel the pain.
-
Who is your favorite music artist of all time?
Burna Boy, hands down. That guy does not just sing, he does perform like he is possessed by rhythm. From Ye to City Boys, he’s been consistent. I love how he mixes culture and pride in every track.
-
How do you find new songs?
Mostly through TikTok and reels. Anytime I hear a catchy beat, I’m on Spotify searching for the artist.

Does Music Influence the Paranormal?
This is a very deep topic. I actually think sound carries spiritual energy. Even in church, people get very spiritual through worship. The same way some songs can give you strange vibes.

If You Like Overwhelmingly Beautiful Music You Should Hear Jennifer Walton’s Daughters
I listened to it after seeing the post . Wow, that sounds very sweet. The layering, the emotion, everything just flows. I even put it on repeat.

Celeste Details Label Woes, Problems With Music Industry’s Treatment Of Artists
Music label stories are worrisome. Almost every artist gets one or two bad experience to share. You sign a deal thinking your life has changed for good, next thing you’re fighting for your career. Honestly, it's overwhelming.

Musicians Who Should Have Been Bigger
Omawumi for sure. That woman’s vocals do not get a rival. I remember her “If You Ask Me” era. It was pure fire. But I feel she came up during that time when the industry was still figuring out female representation.

PC vs Console – The Eternal Debate
It's a console all day! I just like how smooth it is. You plug, pick your pad, and play your favourite game. It's so easy. No need to update drivers or check GPU like the PCs.

What’s more important: doing what you love or doing what pays the bills?
Right now I’ll say anything that pay bills comes first. Passion will not put food on my table. I was like “ I have to follow my dream”, but when hunger creeps in that year, I quickly adjust. To be fair, if your passion can bring steady money, then it’s better.

Has comedy become too cautious?
Honestly. Comedy is not funny like before again. These days comedians are afraid to talk because your jokes might be twisted to implicate you. I miss when Basketmouth, Gordons or Bovi could literally say anything and everybody would laugh so hard.
-
Is cancel culture necessary, or has it gone too far?
At first, it made sense as people were being called out for bad behavior. But now, it’s too much. One little thing, and people just drag you like you killed someone.
-
Do you think people work too much these days?
Yes! Everybody just grinds nonstop. No rest, no break. The economy is rough, but too much hustle without rest is a slow poison. But I’ve learnt to take small breaks.

Has social media made people more connected or more isolated?
I’d say both. We’re more connected online, but in real life, it’s like everyone’s drifting apart. People text “how are you?” instead of visiting or calling. It’s weird.
