What Gear (Headphones, Speakers, Apps) Do You Swear By?
I swear by my Audio-Technica headphones. It”s not too flashy, but the sound clarity is something else. I tried Beats once, it has a nice bass but it's too heavy. For speakers, I use Edifier at home and it's quite solid for mixing demos.

Favorite On-Air Jingle – Should We Bring Back the 80s Remix?
Those old jingles are very nostalgic. You will feel the rawness in the sound and voice. Now everything is too polished and computerized. Sometimes I just find myself playing old radio recordings just for the sound. The 80s remixes had flavor, not the filtered sound we see everywhere now.

Dream Cross-Genre Collaboration That Would Blow Minds
For me, I want to see Rema and Billie Eilish. It sounds weird, but imagine that mix of calm dark vibe with Afrobeats twist. The sound will come out real good. Don't you think so?

Who Can Hold Their Breath the Longest On-Air?
I remember one time on my friend’s podcast, he tried to hold his breath during a countdown by 20 seconds and he started making strange sounds 😂. For me, I can try 30 seconds max before I start to see stars. 😂But those radio guys can actually talk nonstop without catching their breath.

Which Artist Would You Love to See Unplugged?
I’d love to see Burna Boy go fully unplugged. Live instruments, and no auto-tune. His voice has that raw power that you can still dance to without all the fancy auto-tune. I saw a clip where he performed “Odogwu” with a small band. It went really well. I feel if he ever does one proper acoustic session, he will make waves on YouTube.

How Do You Stay Motivated to Create When Inspiration Lags?
Honestly, it's not easy at all for most of the artist to keep up with inspiration. Some days, I just stare at my laptop for hours, nothing would come out 😩. What helps me is taking breaks or I go watch random skits, stroll Tiktok a little, or even gist with my friends. Sometimes I force myself to start with anything, even nonsense, and from there the inspiration builds up gradually.

What do you make of musicians claiming their songs were inspired by ghosts?
I remember one local artist back home that said he wrote his hit song after seeing a shadow in his room at night 😅. People laughed, but the song was a hit. So who knows? Inspiration can come from anywhere. Ghost or no ghost, as long as the jam is sweet, we will still dance to it.

Classic rock vs hard rock, what's better?
For me, both get their moments. When I’m chilling, I play classic rock all day. But when I need to boost energy or gym, hard rock is the right plug. I remember the first time I heard Metallica, I really liked it. Classic rock has class, hard rock has power. It just depends on your mood.

How long can you go without music?
For me, I'm surrounded by music. I play songs when I’m cooking, cleaning, even before I sleep. Sometimes I use it to calm myself when I'm stressed. I remember when I was going through some challenges, I just plugged my earpiece and played Burna Boy’s “23” till I sleep. It helps reset my mind.

Viral Chicago Rap Star BabyChiefDoIt Releases Tough New EP Warning Shot
I listened to that song and honestly, the production shocked me. That dude’s flow is so tight, and you can feel he’s telling his story. Songs like that remind me why hip-hop is still alive. I won’t lie, “Warning Shot” might just be his big break.

What's your favorite streaming app?
Spotify just understands that assignment well. Sometimes I use Boomplay, but Spotify is the king of them of all. I even use YouTube Music when I want to catch up with live performances or old classics.

What's the saddest song you have ever listened to?
For me, “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa hits me every time. I still remember when my close friend died of cancer, that song became like therapy for me. Music has that power to bring back memories.

Who is your favorite music artist of all time?
For me, it’s Fela Kuti. I haven't seen any one like him. He’s a tough artist and an activist at the same time. That man uses his music to fight bad governance, educate people, and still make you dance. To me, that’s extremely powerful. Even the new generation still borrows from his vibe.

How do you find new songs?
I roll with Boomplay radio and allow to play random music. I’ve found great jams there many times.

If You Like Overwhelmingly Beautiful Music You Should Hear Jennifer Walton’s Daughters
Exactly. I remember the time I was listening to a weird foreign track at night and the mood in my room just changed. I had to turn off the music very quickly. Music can influence emotions, so it’s possible for it to touch deeper realms, but it depends on the intentions.

If You Like Overwhelmingly Beautiful Music You Should Hear Jennifer Walton’s Daughters
It’s one of those songs you don’t just listen to, you’ve got to feel it. That soft build-up and haunting vibe is quite chilling! I love finding hidden gems like this. It reminds me of early Bon Iver and Enya kind of energy.

Celeste Details Label Woes, Problems With Music Industry’s Treatment Of Artists
It’s really sad. I think artists need better lawyers and to understand their contracts. Too many of them are in a rush for fame. To be fair, some labels help, but most only love you when the money is flowing. Once streams drop, they will ghost you. I respect people like Tems and Omah Lay because they are independent from the start.

Musicians Who Should Have Been Bigger
Brymo deserves his flowers. His lyrics has that depth that many of use do not appreciate. Ara and Olanrewaju still give me chills till today. I think the music industry is just too focused on trending beats sometimes, and real artistry gets sidelined.

PC vs Console – The Eternal Debate
PC is still very relevant.. You can customize, mod your games and the graphics is superb. But console is quite good for comfort. I use both. I use the PC for solo games and console for multiplayer, especially at night. For me, the one you go with depends on your preference.

The 5 Best Songs Of The Week
Those are nice picks! I’ve had Charm by Rema and Problem by Reekado Banks on repeat. I even mix old jams like Wande Coal’s Iskaba. Music help boost my energy during work. I can’t even function without headphones these days.😂

What’s more important: doing what you love or doing what pays the bills?
I feel you. Same thing here. I love photography, but my job is what keeps me afloat. Sometimes I shoot weddings on weekends just to stay close to what I love. I still have the plans to switch full-time one day.

Has comedy become too cautious?
That's true! Everyone is too sensitive now. Even meme can cause a big argument. It’s like comedians now need lawyer to check their punchlines first. Things are just too serious now.

Is cancel culture necessary, or has it gone too far?
People forget everyone makes mistakes. Certain things deserve correction, not destruction. Cancel culture should teach lessons, not ruin lives. What I am saying is, we all need grace once in a while.

Do you think people work too much these days?
Sometimes I look around and it feels like nobody even breathes again. People are working like robots. I’ve started doing short weekend getaways, even if it’s just staying home to sleep, at least it's good for my health.

Has social media made people more connected or more isolated?
It madw us talk more, but it’s not always real connection. I’ve seen people with thousands of followers who still feel lonely. It depends on how you use it. Social media’s just a tool, some people build friendships there, others just scroll endlessly.
