Classic and hard rock are two different music genres. The Hard Rock focuses more on high vocals, guitar controls where whereas Classic rock centres around telling a story in a calm and melodious way and is always referred to as the original rock 'n' roll that reigned during the 70s.

As a rock fan, are you more of a classic rock fan or do you prefer hard rock music?

Individual differences plays a very big role in what someone likes and hate. This is why when it comes to rock music, someone would go for classic rock being their favorite while another would go for hard rock. Personally, I'm more of a classic rock fan as it's more enjoyable for me.

Hard rock is the best in helping me blow off some steam. It's why I love it so much more than classic rock. AC/DC is a perfect example and it's perfect in cranking up the aggression with raw energy in the song.

What's your favorite AC/DC rock song you've listened to over the years since you started appreciating rock songs?

I lean more to classic rock. It’s got soul and better storytelling. Songs like “Hotel California” or “Bohemian Rhapsody” are timeless. Hard rock is also good, but sometimes the noise and the shouting is just too much 😂.

I appreciate both hard rock and classic rock songs too. The mood which I found myself in would be what's going on determine if I'm going to prefer hard or classic rock. What's your favorite classic rock band?

My favourite classic rock bands would be Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and finally The Beatles. It's going to be very rare to see a true classic rock fan who doesn't love listening to The Beatles. It doesn't matter if they are new to classic rock or not, they will love listening to The Beatles.

For me, both get their moments. When I’m chilling, I play classic rock all day. But when I need to boost energy or gym, hard rock is the right plug. I remember the first time I heard Metallica, I really liked it. Classic rock has class, hard rock has power. It just depends on your mood.

Yes, I also switch listening to both of them from time to time. I might be open to playing hard rock more often but I also enjoy classic rocks with The Beatles being my favourite.

For someone like me who's always energetic all the time, it's always going to fun listening to hard rock. Do you also enjoy listening to heavy metal songs too?

That’s tough for me to choose. Classic rock has that timeless, chill vibe with songs you can listen to anytime, while hard rock is full of energy and intensity that really gets you pumped. Honestly it depends on my mood, so I don’t think I could pick just one.
