Posted October 24Oct 24 Music carries with it different kinds of emotions that directly or indirectly affect those who are listening to them. It's why some songs can cheer someone up when they are sad and felling down, some pushes someone to have more energy at things they're doing while some can make you feel sad and down. What's the saddest song you have ever listened to?
October 26Oct 26 For me it has to be “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross. That song always touches my soul. I remember when my dad passed, I played it like five times back-to-back, tears were just flowing. It's not even about the lyrics alone, but the way he sang it, you can feel the pain.
October 27Oct 27 Songs where the artist is filled with grief is always very heartbreaking. The saddest song I've listened to is Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton. He wrote the song after the tragic death of his four-year-old son in a fall. The whole lyrics is about an unimaginable loss of a father and the fear of reunion in the afterlife.

That song gets me to tears each time that I listen to it and it is simply because of the movie that it is associated with. It is a sad song that anyone who has lost a loved one could play in times when they are done.
