We are now in the 10th month of the year and a whole bunch of artists have dropped songs and albums that were quite interesting and popular. If you are asked to choose who your artist of the year is so far, who are you going to pick?

For me, it’s definitely Asake. The guy has been dropping hits back-to-back. Even people who don’t understand the language still sing along. He’s got this street flavor that makes his songs addictive. Every track feels like a celebration.

I'm going to pick Lady Gaga. She have already dominated the 2025 MTV VMAs and won Artist of the Year which is her 20th Moonman overall. Currently, she's leading with 12 nominations and it's her album Mayhem that's pushing it for her. The album is also nominated for Album of the Year.

I’ll give it to Burna Boy, hands down. That guy’s consistency is unmatched. He’s got that confidence, the lyrics, and stage performance. He’s always on point. I remember watching one of his live shows online, and the energy was unreal.
