October 24Oct 24 Nick Drake (RIP) is definitely going to be my pick for a musician that was crazily underrated and overlooked. I don't think that it's guitar work which was absolutely beautiful got the recognition it deserved especially in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Two of his albums Pink Moon and Five Leaves Left are now being recognised but unfortunately he never got that recognition when he was alive.
October 26Oct 26 Omawumi for sure. That woman’s vocals do not get a rival. I remember her “If You Ask Me” era. It was pure fire. But I feel she came up during that time when the industry was still figuring out female representation.

He was one of the best rising rappers in the music industry but unfortunately death cut his life short. The guy would have been as good as Lil Wanye because that's how good he rapped.
October 28Oct 28 Brymo deserves his flowers. His lyrics has that depth that many of use do not appreciate. Ara and Olanrewaju still give me chills till today. I think the music industry is just too focused on trending beats sometimes, and real artistry gets sidelined. Edited October 28Oct 28 by 1stop

The music industry is seriously very competitive and if you don't give 100%, it's going to be very difficult to excel.
