  1. I balance music and everyday life by listening when it fits, like while traveling, exercising or doing chores. I also take quiet breaks sometimes. Music makes life more fun, but I make sure it doesn’t stop me from working, spending time with friends, or handling my responsibilities.
  2. These days I mostly listen to playlists because they’re convenient and I can mix all my favorite songs.
  3. Streaming changed everything. I used to buy CDs and listen straight through — now I skip around like a squirrel with ADHD. Do you still sit down and enjoy a full album start to finish?
  4. To be honest I'm not a fan of BTS and I've never been to one of their concerts. I know they have this massive following and their fans are incredibly passionate which is pretty cool to see. I can respect the talent and dedication they have even though their music isn't really my thing. I've heard their concerts are absolutely insane though with incredible production and the crowds going wild. For people who are into them it must be an amazing experience. What about you? Are you an ARMY or do you have a different music preference like me?
  5. I enjoy any program where the host frequently engages with callers. Those interactions bring the radio to life making you feel included in the show, than simply hearing it.
  6. Those old jingles are very nostalgic. You will feel the rawness in the sound and voice. Now everything is too polished and computerized. Sometimes I just find myself playing old radio recordings just for the sound. The 80s remixes had flavor, not the filtered sound we see everywhere now.
  7. Looking to expand my podcast list — I already love Song Exploder and Dissect. What podcasts do you recommend for deep dives into music, artists, or music history?
  8. I once picked up a local AM station while camping miles from anywhere. Static, strange voices, and all — somehow it was the best thing ever. Anyone else got a good “radio in the middle of nowhere” story?

Hey quick question about this giveaway. Is this eligible for anyone over the age of 18 in the United States? I live in Missouri, so I'm not a local listener but I am curious about the giveaway! Is this why Heatman's text didn't go through since he doesn't live in the US?
  10. If I ever worked in a radio station, I would create a programme where anyone can call to seek out reconnecting with their old friends whom they are no longer in contact with and also another programme to ask for forgiveness from those one wronged but no longer have access to meet them face to face to say sorry.
  11. They all have different things that they bring to the table. With Burna Boy, you are sure of getting electrifying performances filled with much energy. He is good at creating songs that evoke deep emotions. Davido is an all-around type of musician who has had numerous hits under his belt. His song with Omah Lay "With You" has been nominated for the Grammy Award and I have strong feelings that the song will win Davido his first-ever Grammy. Wizkid "Baba Nla" has just slowed down for a while now, but each time he drops a song, a lot of fans vibe to it which shows that he's still got that magic touch. If I am to rate them I will rate Davido first, Burna Boy second and Wizkid third, in that order.
  12. Mane is just too good! Thank you for bringing this jam to my attention.
  13. Honestly, people underestimate how tough the music industry is. It’s not just about talent, you need strong mental balance too. The pressure, comparison, and online issues can mess with your head. I’ve seen artists who just wanted to disappear for a while. Sometimes you need to choose peace over productivity. Music does not go anywhere, it remains but your mind can be messsed up if you push too hard.
  14. Night vibes all the way for me. That calm feeling when everywhere is quiet and you’re just vibing to your playlist, nothing beats it. In the morning, I feel too distracted or tired. But at night, my mind is very fresh, ideas keep flowing as I listen to my favourite songs.
  15. I’d love to host a show called “Hidden Grooves” focusing on rare classic rock deep cuts and forgotten gems. I’d mix in some fun stories behind the songs and maybe interview local musicians.
  16. Even most DJs just curate a list of favourite songs from an artist and post it on Spotify, for example. It makes listening to it fun since you are listening to the best songs by the particular artist.
  17. Do you find it very difficult to stay without playing or listen to music every day? Personally, I'm not sure if it's possible for me to go a full day without playing music. I might stream online through Spotify or YouTube music or listening to the radio station. Music is part of my life and that makes it part of my everyday routine. How long can you go without music?
  18. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to the radio in any weird or unusual place. It’s usually just in the car, at home or sometimes while doing chores.
  19. It's a fine choice. As someone who loves rock songs, I'd choose listening to Bon Jovi. I'm currently listening to their new album Forever Legendary Edition.
  20. I no longer collect any kind music CDs because using streaming services have made having access to any kind of songs easier. Although, I still have my old collections in my possession.
  21. Keep The Rest by Tee Grizzley is definitely getting a 10/10 rating from me. The number of times I've played that song on repeat is abnormal because of how good it is.
  22. It's definitely going to be I'm Alive by Celine Dion. I've been in love with that woman's songs right from my childhood and that particular captured my whole heart the first time I heard it.
  23. For me it's Teddy Bear by Red Sovine. It's an old trucker song and breaks your heart when you listen to it. 1 Teddy Bear.mp3
  24. I was using it because it was included years ago, not now they've put more and more paywalls up that it's useless. Hubby already had a YouTube music and I liked using his so he just added me to his plan and I've not looked back. Though I have one podcast I can only get on Amazon, what bs is that. 🤣🤣🤣
  25. For me, I'm surrounded by music. I play songs when I’m cooking, cleaning, even before I sleep. Sometimes I use it to calm myself when I'm stressed. I remember when I was going through some challenges, I just plugged my earpiece and played Burna Boy’s “23” till I sleep. It helps reset my mind.
  26. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to play music at work. Those who do are using their airpods because you can't use big headset as they are easily spotted.
  27. My favourite classic rock bands would be Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and finally The Beatles. It's going to be very rare to see a true classic rock fan who doesn't love listening to The Beatles. It doesn't matter if they are new to classic rock or not, they will love listening to The Beatles.
  28. Thats actually a great relaxing song @Ja sa bong It kind of reminds me of the Incan pan pipes which I just love.
  29. Yanni's ”Nightingale” is my favourite of all his songs. The song was inspired by a bird that comes to sing for him in his window. It's a good song to study with.
  30. Manchester United players have gotten it well now with Ruben Amorim and his system of play. I see them moving to 2nd in the English Premier League table by this weekend. They are going win Nottingham Forest 100%. I had a very sound rest last night. It made me so happy.
  31. For me it has to be “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross. That song always touches my soul. I remember when my dad passed, I played it like five times back-to-back, tears were just flowing. It's not even about the lyrics alone, but the way he sang it, you can feel the pain.
  32. Honestly, cinema trips is always interesting. I remember when I went to watch Black Panther at Ikeja City Mall, the crowd went wild. People were shouting like it was a football match. I like how the sound fills the hall, especially during action scenes.
  33. Any gym house where people come workout that doesn't play music is going feel like a mourning ground. It's going to be practically difficult for me to workout in such gym.
  34. Yarni's instrumentals have been my favourite that I enjoy listening to all of the time. I don't listen to it when I'm reading by the way but when I want to use music to sleep. It's very effective.
  35. Whenever I'm in a public place, I always prefer making use of headset to listen to music because I don't want to disturb anybody with whatever I'm playing. This is because it might not be what they're interested in listening to.
  36. Taking care of my little girl made me to feel all you're talking about completely because with kids, you cannot predict when something will go wrong with their health which is usually a serious challenge. Health is wealth they say and I completely agree.
  37. It's why all of the gym houses where I used to be a member in the past have their music sound system being very vocal in the gym.
  38. That is what I think as well because there is a possibility that they were inspired by an unforseen force that pushes them to create those kinds of songs.

Hello, all It is Seraphim here. I feel so excited to be a part of the Solano rock and talk radio community. I've scanned through the sections of the forum and feel impressed by the numerous sections where one can discuss music, paranormal, and other interests. Kudos to @Mitch and the rest of the team for starting this project and being one who likes posting on forums, I am quite keen to make new friends while interacting with members of the community. Is anyone's home to welcome me?

    Hey Hulk is here :)
  42. Being in good health is always going to be more than enough to make me happy because health is seriously and criminally underrated by those who are not admitted in the hospital. This is why I appreciate my being in good health condition at all times.
  43. Playing music during any kind of exercise activities is usually very helpful. If you tune into the radio station at that time when you're climbing the hill which I consider more like hiking, it's to energise yourself.
  44. Ughhhh I hate Man Utd and Liverpool is my UK team lol So you got 1 up on me you ass hahahaha. I barely follow football anymore since living in California though
  45. Heya Heat! Great to see you here. Always good when I see you join one of my communities. I hope you enjoy the chat and the banter
  46. Hey everyone! I’ve had AC/DC’s Thunderstruck on repeat all week and figured it deserves a shoutout here. That intro riff still gives me chills every time I hear it. If anyone’s got a live version or bootleg worth sharing, drop it below — I’d love to compare recordings. Let’s keep the energy electric this week!
  47. Agreed. Lyrics make the song come alive. They tell a story that someone has formed. You miss so much without the lyrics
  48. Welcome to the community my friend :) Great to have you with us.
  49. Great to have you join us Henry :) I know that you will for sure have a blast here. This is a very lighthearted place to hang around lol. We so cool I got frostbite on my ass
